I’m still amazed at the resources the internet has these days. It’s night and day from when I first started in animation. I remember one single old VHS tape with a Disney lecture would get passed around multiple times. Didn’t matter the quality was awful. Didn’t matter whether it was a copy of a copy of a copy. You treated it like a piece of gold. I currently ran across a bunch of really great Disney/Nine Old Man stuff I haven’t seen before especially from Milt Kahl, and wanted to pass it along since so much of the discussion is in acting. So much of this still applies today. Reason I ended up doing CG on my case, was because I could focus on acting a lot more than on drawing which I can’t do well. At the end of the day it comes down to acting/choices and hoping to make a performance memorable. I hope you enjoy these links as much as I did.
