Bishop 2.0
Yesterday we announced our Bishop 2.0 rig for the AnimationMentor students. We wanted to take seriously the feedback from the Studios in providing a more flexible rig that would allow students to customize their characters in a lot more ways than they were able before. See the movie below for more information.
I wanted to acknowledge the incredible job that Alexiss Memmott, Taylor Mahony, Kevin Freeman, Keith Ribbons and Brandon Beckstead have done over the last few weeks.
Carlos.
Ps: the animation piece at the end of the video was done by Alumni student Brandon Beckstead.

Looking forward to using this guy. I don’t like wasting time customizing rigs, I just want to animate!

Amazing! AM have really out done themselves. Those animations with the transforming Bishop 2.0 are first rate too.
I want that. Makes me so so sad that I have to wait 10 more months till class 5.
This looks great! I don’t have much time to be able to focus on animation mentor right now, but it would be great to use this rig. It’s a long shot, but would Bishop 1.0 or 2.0 ever be available for purchase outside of Animation Mentor?
Oh waw! That’s amazing!!! Way to go guys!!
I’m pretty impressed with this update. It’s a going to be very reinvigorating for students and alumni shots(not to mention unique demo reel appeal). Can’t wait to see all the creations!
I’m so excited!!! Go Alexiss, Taylor, Kevin & Brandon. GO BISHOP 2.0!!!!
I literally let out a scream there at the end – this is fantastic!
Thanks for posting Carlos
That’s the best rig ever!! Wish I could use it
I wish I went to AM just so I could use this rig. Alas, AAU only has Norman and no easy way to customize him.
Amé la animación final con el cambio entre personaje y personaje.
Extraordinary! Huge thanks to everyone for their hard work!
Hey Carlos! Really Nice, congrats! This give us the students to focus even more on animation and easily have an appealing sc and creative stories. I enjoyed a lot the final video´s animation so fun!
Can not wait to get back and start using this! Holy cow, awesome!

That. Is. Awesome!
Amazing work by all involved. Kudos to the entire AM team for raising the bar with Bishop 2.0!
The new rig is awesome, I spent a lot of hours customizing the old Bishop for AM assigments, I am so glad that this rig makes that process so mutch easier. Bishop 2.0 rocks!!
Thanks AM for always improving and making the AM experience better for us students!

That is so awesome.. i don´t know what to say.. !!!!
GREAT JOB!
Looks absolutely incredible. So cool you dont have to spend more than 15 minutes making a character that fits your narrative.
More time for animation and more entertaining stuff coming out of it.
Just great!!!
Awesome!!! Hats off to the AM team!
Can’t wait to get my hands on it on monday!

I was lucky enough to contribute to Bishop 2.0… modelling the face, nose and chin shapes, and providing face deformation tests : )
I’m very proud to have worked on it, the video looks great!
Keith, I’ll be sure to credit you then. You all did a tremendous job and should be credited.
